Bena Community Center Bena, Minnesota

Project Description: The Bena Community Center is under construction and is almost complete. It is a 14,000 sf stand-alone Community Center building, including a Gymnasium, Locker Facilities, a Youth Center, Headstart /Early Childhood Education programs and the Elder’s Nutrition Program Kitchen /Dining facility. Future expansion phases include a community clinic, parking and expanded youth programming. The new center shall replace an existing out-dated center and shall be the center of the village of Bena located on the Leech Lake Reservation for the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.

Still to be installed: A tribal artist's inspired pattern will wrap along the top of the gym's precast exterior, and a parking lot and landscaping have yet to be finished. Check back soon for completed photos later this spring..
