St. Scholastica Student Housing Duluth, Minnesota

Project Description:The student housing at the College of St. Scholastica are the Birch, Maple and Willow Housing Units. They consist of 12 two–bedroom apartments, providing for a total of 96 students in each building. The masonry walls and pre-cast floors provide good acoustic isolation and low maintenance scheduling.

Each building is set on a natural hillside with mature pine which were preserved to maintain a natural setting. Innovative bridge entries were designed for direct second floor accessibility. Apartment layouts provide the opportunity for “off-season” leasing.
