 Project
Description:This
project involved renovations
and the addition of a third floor for an older adult care home.
The project consisted of a building addition that provided
14 new resident rooms, two dayrooms, expanded dining room,
and space for a Chapel. Building renovations included a new
ventilation system with humidification and upgraded corridor
décor with new carpet and wainscot.

Issues and Needs:
 The
facility remained occupied during all phases of construction.
Coordination of construction sequence was critical
for resident comfort and for keeping the home weather
tight throughout the third floor addition (over an
occupied second and first floor.) When the addition
was complete, residents were moved to the new floor
to allow for the renovation of existing areas.
