Project Description: MinnTac is a large taconite
mining and pellet plant operation at Mountain Iron, Minnesota. Their product requires milled limestone in the Agglomerator Plant for the production of flux pellets.

United States Steel, Minnesota Ore Operations, requested Krech Ojard and Associates to provide engineering services for a feasibility study of a new on-site limestone unloading
system, storage facility, crusher facility and crushed limestone transfer system at the Minnesota Ore operations in
Mountain Iron, Minnesota.

3D modeling was utilized to visualize the new facility, options for the client and to work out space requirements.
