Midwest Energy Duluth, MN

Project Description: Krech Ojard & Associates' engineers designed conveyor upgrades to this, the largest transhipment facility on the Great Lakes, and increased train dumping rates from 3300 to 5000 tons per hour. These upgrades were necessary to meet increased annual demands. The upgrades required that a third 500 HP drive be added to the inclined conveyor. The project also required the design of dustless transfer chutes, dust suppression systems over conveyors and
rail cars.

Multiple site projects and upgrades have been performed for this client and this site by Krech Ojard Mechanical,Rail, Civil, Structural and even KO's Marine Engineers.
