Project Description: Northshore Mining requested Krech Ojard and Associates (KOA) to investigate options for improving the loadout operations at the Babbitt crude ore loadout.
The two issues addressed in the study are accurate ore car loading and protection from locomotive-equipment collisions
during loadout operations. KOA provided general arrangement drawings for each of the proposed modifications including cost
estimates. 3d modeling was utilized during the studies for visualization of options and to better understand the variables inherent to this facility.

Special Issues and Needs:
